EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Deligo Technologies worked with one of the world’s largest manufacturers of positive displacement pumps, to turn its complex quoting, sales and engineering processes into a seamless, natural experience for distributors and end-users.

CHALLENGE
The manufacturer had nothing more than a glorified brochure as its web site and was just beginning to discover the power of the Internet. At the same time, the company was getting hammered by distributors and prospects for having such a slow response time to RFQs from its sales engineering staff. The company’s executives wondered – like so many others do – “Isn’t there a way to solve both of these problems at once?” Finding the answer was critical to their survival.

RESULTS
Deligo Technologies worked closely with the executive team, sales, customer service, engineering and manufacturing staff to create a B2B website that changed the way customers receive information, select the right pump, design new applications, install complicated products, and make purchases.

Although there were hundreds of thousands of parts to add to the site’s content, Deligo was not fazed. The project team automated – and greatly enhanced – information transfer between manufacturer, distributor and customer, putting the OEM into a market leadership position that its competitors remain envious of.

In the end, the pump manufacturer’s content database and global product selector helped reduce printing and transaction costs, and – with the new ability to respond to prospects and customers faster – increased top-line sales. Additionally, the project hit every deadline and fell within the original budget parameters.
